Clean Home TipsEveryone loves to enter a home which is clean and tidy. We all love floors and furniture that shine and walls that are free of cobwebs, stains and scribbling. Don’t we all find the thought of polished and clean tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms inviting? But, what clean home tips should we be adopting to get this affect?

For getting a spotlessly clean home, you must begin with having a regimen of dusting, vacuuming and scrubbing the floors and walls. As a first step, tidy up the house. It would be easier to clean up the house when things are not lieing here and there! Pick up the toys that the kids have littered around and put them in a separate box. Teach your children to put the box at a separated place, preferably under the cot or in the closet. Tell them that they can retrieve them whenever they wish.

At the same time, de clutter the house. Discuss with your children what toys they no longer play with. Ask them to put them aside and you can donate to charity. You can do the same thing with old clothes, bags, sheets, drapes, footwear etc that you really do not use. Put all the clothes that are hardly worn and gotten old in a bag and stash them away. Check all the documents and papers that are stashed in your books shelves for quite some time. How important are they? Do you really need them? Sit comfortably and sift through them. Keep papers that are important and toss the rest in the bin.

After having sorted out your home, you must then begin to clean your home. Cleanliness drive must begin from the top of the house to the bottom. You can use extensible attachments to the vacuum cleaner to clean away the cobwebs on the ceiling and the walls. Take a dusting cloth to dust away the furniture and chairs for a cleaner house. You can also spray a furniture polish on the cloth to get a shining look.

After dusting and polishing the furniture, focus on the carpeted floor. Sprinkling dry baking soda on the carpet before vacuuming can work wonders and give a spic and span look to the entire home. Try scrubbing the doors and windows of the home as well using a liquid detergent and a cloth rag. A good polish to the doors and windows brighten the house considerably. Avoid cleaning the windows when it is warm and sunny. The detergent would dry up easily and would leave stains all over.

As the last step, clean the bathrooms and the kitchen. Throw away the clutter of your home after sorting out all the rubbish. You might have to sort out all the unused items in these areas and retain stuff that you would be using. All the unnecessary knick knacks, ranging from outdated spices, crispiest, half-eaten chips, biscuits etc must be given away to reduce the clutter. Scrub the tiles and the floor of the bathrooms for a cleaner look. Repeat the same for the kitchen slab. You can polish the floor using water to which vinegar is added. Your house would shine much and have a cleaner feel.
