Here are some very useful shopping safety tips that’ll help you to stay safe during your shopping trips.

Always try to shop at the stores or the malls during day time. Although the stores may be packed during the day, which is usually the peak hours, it is advisable to shop in daylight. Also, during the holiday shopping season, try shopping at daytime. Even if you have to jostle at the counters during the peak shopping hour, it is still safer to shop during the day. If you have to shop at night, never go alone to shop. Take a friend or ideally go in a group which is not only safe but also fun.

When you go shopping always wear casual and comfortable clothes. That will prevent unwelcoming attention and also help you move comfortably and quickly. Do not wear costly and heavy jewelry lest you become a prey for a thief or a con man.

During your shopping trip to the malls or stores, always stay alert of your surroundings. Make sure you aren’t loaded with packages, so that your sight isn’t blocked or you can’t move about comfortably. If you have to buy a lot of things, you can use the trolley and put the packages into it. In that way you can keep a vigil look of your surroundings and move away from trouble promptly.

Avoid carrying too much cash with you. Instead of cash try to use plastic money for shopping as much as possible. You can use your credit card, debit cards, cash cards but do not use cash for making purchase at the stores. Always carry your cards, cash, and mobile phone in your purse and keep them handy. Do not put your wallet into another bag rather carry that valuable in your hand and be careful about it. It is better to keep your wallet in the front pocket as that will reduce the chance of your pocket being picket.

If you are going to shop with your kids be all the more careful. You can keep them busy at the kids’ corner and complete your shopping. If you have to take them along with you when you move from one store to the other, make sure you do not get separated. Before going to the shopping mall teach your kid to go to the clerk at the shop or the security men at the mall in case you get separated.
