Avoid peeling of fruits like apple, cucumber, and peach as they provide natural fiber. Take 4-5 servings of fruits everyday. This will fill your stomach and reduce your craving for snacks in between meals. Start your meal with a bowl of salad. Say no to foods made in saturated fat. Saturated fat is fatal for the heart. Avoid excessive intake of salt. Also lessen the use of table salt.
Keep Stress at Bay
Stress is a silent killer. Mental stress and chronic tension increases your blood pressure making the heart prone to disease. Thus however bad things are, try and avoid stress. Opt for meditation and yoga in order to release stress.
Regular Medical Checkup
Even if your body is fit and there are no symptoms of heart disease it is important that you go for regular health check up at least twice a year. These health check ups must include your cholesterol level, ECG, or any other tests suggested by your doctor.
