Get your computer from a qualified refurbisher. By qualified we mean that he should be professional and should have taken care of all the things required for the computer before selling it.
Pay attention to warranty and return policy: On a refurbished computer don’t expect to get a 1-3 year warranty, if you get a 3 months warranty then it is OK. Check how quickly the company response to the complaints of customers and if they take back dead computers.
Operating system: Some of the refurbished computers with a windows vista/ windows XP or some older computer system while some may not have anything at all so it is always better to check if it has any operating system or not.
Peripherals: Most of the refurbished computers do not come with a monitor so be sure to include that in your budget. If you need wireless network cards or DVD drives then carefully examine specifications sheet to make sure these are also included.
Checking keyboards/hard drives: Before purchasing check that keyboard is in proper condition and no key is jammed, check that hard drives have been completely deleted of any previous data.
PC: Check if the Pc has been upgraded and tested for electrical safety by the refurbisher and can you see it working? Ask the refurbisher where it came from?
Ask how fast is the customer response time? Is the refurbisher Microsoft authorized or community MAR?
